有一項針對白種人男孩和北美洲原住民 - Lakota 人男孩分別進行的實驗，給每個男孩2根棒棒糖，兩群男孩都把第一根棒棒糖塞進自己的嘴裡，但是白種人男孩會把第二根棒棒糖放進口袋，Lakota男孩則會把第二根棒棒送給離他最近、沒有棒棒糖的男孩。Raj Patel 的註解是，文化會影響人們如何累積與分配資源，決定儲存或分享的社會優先性。
我在想，屬於台灣人的文化是甚麼? 這樣的文化如何造就了現今的資源累積與分配現況? 怎樣的文化可以讓這個社會更和諧些? 欠缺了甚麼? 欠缺的又要如何形塑而成??
