國際警察組織(INTERPOL)的秘書長在5個月底與ICANN執行長見面，商討網路安全治理、以及防範網路犯罪等課題，並尋求兩個國際組織就網 路安全進行合作的機會。即將在6月中召開的ICANN新加坡會議中，INTERPOL將以ICANN的政府諮詢委員會(GAC)觀察員身分出席，預期整個 網路社群將對國際警察加入ICANN一事，提出許多意見與探討。
